While AmbientMusicGuide.com is for the most part a retrospective guide to some of the best in ambient and downtempo from the last 40 years, obviously torrents of new music keeps on being released. This page collects my reviews of recent downtempo releases - good, average, and occasionally dodgy - including some that were reviewed for various zines and publications under my pseudonym Mike G.

After a while the reviews on this page are deleted from this website, except for those that get incorporated into the Essential Releases section.

Note to my regular readers: as of December 2007, this Recent Releases section will no longer be updated. Instead I plan to further expand the Essential Releases section during 2008.
